Learning Plan 4: Vocabulary
Purpose: In each Learning Plan, you will be asked to define self-advocacy related vocabulary and asked to use these terms in your assignments. On the Vocabulary tab for each Learning Plan, you will find a list of the key vocabulary. You may also add any other words you are unsure of as you work through the Learning Plans. It is important to have a clear understanding of the vocabulary associated with self-advocacy in order to begin the process of developing strong self-advocacy skills.

- You should research at least two sources before developing your own definition
- Definitions should be written in terminology you understand.
- Make sure you include the part of speech for all terms you are defining.
- For each definition you will “connect” the word to yourself through pictures, examples or using in a sentence.
